Idris Davies Ltd was established in 1948 and has remained a family business for the last 68 years. The company has the professionalism of a large agency combined with the personal touch of a family business.

Idris Davies Ltd is one of the largest private landlords within Cheltenham and all the properties are managed by the company. Our in-house property management means that our tenants can contact us directly without having to go through an agent; this results in a more responsive service than that provided by many landlords.

Renting directly with Idris Davies Ltd is also considerably better value than using an external letting agent, as we do not have high letting fees.

In addition to the residential properties, Idris Davies Ltd also has a commercial property portfolio with a range of tenants from multi-national companies to local start up businesses.

Meet the Team

Charlotte Pack MRICS

Director

Charlotte has over ten years property experience and has completed her MSc in Real Estate Investment & Finance and the NFOPP Level Three in Residential Letting & Property Management. Prior to returning to Cheltenham, Charlotte worked for a small property fund in London and also was involved with a number of residential development projects in South West London. 

Charlotte’s main role is sourcing new opportunities, securing planning and financing and overseeing the financial management of the company having started her career at PwC. 

Out of the office Charlotte can often be found walking Percy the dog (who particularly likes his days in the office) and heading to the coast as often as possible.

Mark Davies

Director

Mark first started at Idris Davies in 2002 working on the residential developments in West Wales, gaining experience in site infrastructure, services, planning, project management and day to day running of new build construction sites.  During 2002 – 2006 he went on to successfully build out several development sites in Pembrokeshire and Carmarthenshire as well as managing several smaller residential conversion projects, a new build industrial development and building and managing a small residential portfolio. 

More recently Mark has been in running the day to day residential portfolio in Cheltenham involved in both the lettings and maintenance and has recently gained his NfoPP award in residential lettings. Alongside the lettings Mark has also project managed several Grade II residential conversions in Cheltenham town centre which have been incorporated into the investment portfolio and is currently underway on converting a listed  coach house into a three bedroom house. 

Outside of work he is an out door enthusiast and enjoys seeing the world. He regularly enjoys distance running, mountaineering, skiing and jumping out of airplanes!

James Davies

After graduating from Nottingham Trent University in 2009 with a degree in Building Surveying, James worked for Two Rivers Housing in their Planned Maintenance department, managing over 4,000 properties. The bright lights then lured him to London in 2010 where he worked within a private multi discipline firm, undertaking a range of duties from contract administration to defect investigation. In 2013 the draw of working within the family business was too great and James spent 12 months working on the investment portfolio. Following on from this, James has returned to his Welsh heritage and now is responsible for our new build developments in West Wales. 

James is currently managing a number of separate sites in Wales and continues to seek additional development opportunities within the area.  In addition to the developments he is currently sitting his Level 3 NfoPP award in residential lettings and in November ’16 hopes to become MRICS. 

Outside of work he regularly plays hockey for a local team and also enjoys running and cycling. During the winter months, he will often be found at Prestbury Park cheering on another losing bet!

Lorna Scott

Company Secretary

Lorna has worked for Idris Davies for over 20 years initially involved with lettings and maintenance.  There are not many things that she won’t have dealt with or seen over these years so experience is key! 

Lorna has a great knowledge of residential property law having successfully attended many Landlord & Tenant courses and seminars and likes to keep upto date with any changes.  More recently after having two beautiful boys Lorna is concentrating more on our day to day book-keeping and ensuring that rents are collected and suppliers paid.  

In her spare time you will find her out in our beloved countryside camping in the family campervan, with partner Adam and the boys, Maxwell and Jack, as most weekends the family are off exploring or attending festivals.
